Meet the designers, artists and makers…

Aeyglom by Aey

Ceramicist, West Sussex, UK

Aey Aspdin works from her garden studio in West Sussex. She mainly works in porcelain with a technique called slip casting. Each piece is handmade in small batches using this industrial technique.

“This intricate process involves pouring liquid porcelain into plaster moulds to form a layer inside the mould, with time and patience, requiring careful handling and drying to prevent warping during firing. Each piece is cast with layers of both natural and coloured porcelain slip giving clean lines and bold colours. The individual pieces are carefully hand-finished, glazed inside and polished to give a soft tactile feel.”

“I love working with porcelain, although it can be very challenging! The material is very delicate and prone to mistakes, but the final finish is very smooth and has a luxurious feel”

Annabelle Hulewicz

Ceramicist, previously Hampshire, UK

Annabelle is a ceramicist based in Southampton, Hampshire, making one-off thrown ceramic works often with hand decorated elements.

Her work ranges from functional but unique homewares to larger bespoke art pieces. Known for her swirling tonal glazes and signature textured finish, which is created by hand, a lengthy process but one that makes each piece unique. We absolutely love her hand-thrown espresso cups and mugs.

Annabelle has recently moved away, but we still stock a few of her beautiful cups.

Deborah designs unique, printed homewares, including coasters, tea towels and placemats. Everything is designed and produced in the UK.

Her signature style has a mid century feel, incorporating colourful patterns and geometric designs.
